The 72-Hour Christmas Miracle: My First Amigurumi

I started crocheting at a Hackspace Stitch’n Bitch in September. A couple of us were taking a swing at it I went home and figured out how to do granny squares.

Come December I’d learned some different techniques and wanted to crochet a robot of some sort for B. I made up some patterns for a 2D robot but none of it was really what I wanted. 4 days before Christmas I realized that I had to take a swing at amigurumi - little plushies.

It’s far from perfect, but life’s too short to frog everything - especially a first attempt on a short schedule. Prototyping’s fun!

We’re calling him Mr. Robot Robot on the piano

If I’m gonna make a silly thing, it will have a pompom Robot on the piano shaking his pom-pom
